I fell in love with the Gijinka designs as soon as I saw them. Deciding on which one to do was hard, but this costume was just too adorable.

Even though we used a pattern, we ended up either taking it in or drafting outward. The bubbles, waves, ears, and collar were entirely drafted. The only part on the dress that wasn't drafted was the sleeves. The tail is home wire with a styrafoam ball on the end. I created a harness that I wore with a tight belt. The boots were originally white and painted with Jacquard Neopaques.

This costume won Honorable Mention in the Youmacon 2008 Hall competition. The rules of the con did not allow for an unlicensed character design to win any higher.
